version 10.2.0 upgrade issue

L0 Member

Dear Support crew,

we have two PAN-3220. Our devices are HA. We received advanced evaluation package licenses for the devices, but my device operating system was 10.0.3 so the advanced licenses are only installed on PANOS 10.2.0.
According to the release note, we upgraded PANOS devices to 10.2.0 and after 24 hours, our primary device had problem. Since the upgrade, we have not made any changes to the device configuration.
The PAN-3220 devices supported up to 1 million sessions. our primary device had a problem after reaching 18,000 sessions and did not allow the opening of new sessions, but the old sessions passed over the device. We moved traffic to secondary device but secondary device also had a problem after a few hours. Does version 10.2.0 have a bug?
Please guide us to solve the problem and inform us about it.

Best Regard

Hi @PaloaltoISLA ,

Please note that LIVEcommunity isn't Palo Alto Support and we can't confirm bugs with the information provided.

That being said, 10.2 is very new and might show some unexpected behaviour (read bugs) which will be filtered out in future releases.  For a deeper analysis of the problem you're seeing I would recommend gathering the techsupport files from your devices and create a support case.

What are the problems you're seeing exactly ? Is you seeing slowness, are packets being dropped, are session being setup ? What do the logs say exactly ?

Cheers,

-Kiwi.
