vWire Interfaces and Netflow

L1 Bithead

Can you collect Netflow data on interfaces that are in vWire mode?

@mooregm0214,

Yup, you can export netflow for pretty much every interface type. The only exception is on AE interfaces, as you have to export at the individual interface level and not the actual AE itself.

@mooregm0214,

The question though is which interface given VWIRE is a pair (logically one interface though physically two).  Do you set it up on just one side of the VWIRE (single interface) or both physical interfaces; if both, does it double report the same traffic?  TBH I struggle that same problem with vwire zone based FW'ing too.
