About PAN-300837

L2 Linker

Attention: Global TPM team,

Hi,

I have a question about PAN-300837.
// PAN-OS 11.1.13-h1 Addressed Issues
https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/11-1/pan-os-release-notes/pan-os-11-1-13-known-and-addresse...

Q1)
How often does this issue occur?

Best regards,
MasaW

Hi @MasaW ,

There is no published occurrence frequency for individual Known Issues.

As with any documented Known Issue, if you choose to run a specific PAN-OS version, you should assume the behavior WILL occur under the described conditions. Choosing a particular PANOS version is less about how often an issue occurs and more about whether the described conditions apply to your environment and whether that behavior is acceptable within your risk tolerance.

We have run into this issue on one of our firewalls in our UK data centers. according to the support case notes it appears that the work around, if you want to call it that, is to have Palo Support join us on a zoom call and clear the files from the firewall at the kernel level every couple of weeks. we are waiting for a hotfix from palo to resolve the issue and I hope to see them publish notes about this bug so that we can make more informed decisions when considering OS upgrades.
