no_matches error

L2 Linker

Hello,

I am having a problem accessing the Palo Alto cli/web.

I recently took the trial version of 30 days, but I always come across the following message when trying to log in.

"cfg.general.need-acknowledgement-to-login' no_matches".

I've left more than 30 minutes on and always the same message. I'm trying to log in with username and password: "admin"

The version I'm on is PA-VM-ESX-10.2.5.

Thank you very much.

Hello @ozheng,

I do not have access to the portal, I received a trial license, the link to download was sent in my email.

Hi, I am facing the same issue. Have you been able to solve the issue?

I'm having the same problem as @eax0x01. I've downloaded PA-VM-KVM-10.1.9.qcow2 image from support site and I'm not able to login. After I type the username admin and press Enter this message pops up "'cfg.general.need-acknowledgement-to-login': NO_MATCHES" and the prompt changes to PA-HDF login:

Could it be something related to virtualization ?
I checked the checksum and it's identical to the one provided on the customer portal.

Hi @Cristi_Ciobanu ,

I think the VM is not done booting up.  Was the login PA-HDF initially?  How long did you wait before you logged in?  I believe the final login prompt should be PA-VM.

Thanks,

Hi @TomYoung,

I waited enough more than an hour and still the same. I run the Palo Alto VM KVM image on an ArchLinux distro with has the latest packages and kernel version 6.5.3.

Curiously the same image with the same configuration running on an Ubuntu 22.04 LTS server but using an older kernel 4.19 it works fine, so I assume it might be a kernel issue. I will try to test with an older version to see how it goes.

OK I've downgraded the kernel but it issue was the same.

In the end I decided to downgrade Qemu version from the latest 8.1.0 to the previous one 8.0.4 and it worked.

The login prompt changed to PA-VM and I was able to login and change the default password.

The last time I ran into this issue, I simply gave the VM more memory and it fixed the issue.

I am also getting the same error in EVE-NG, increasing RAM and CPU also not fixing the issue.
