I configured Internal Host Detection with an internal IP and DNS, but it keeps trying to connect. What configuration is needed for the pop up to appear, identify that it is on the internal network and do not try again.

If its still trying to connect to an external gateway when the user is internal to the network. My question here is, do you have a DNS PTR Record on your internal dns for the device to properly resolve the IP address configured under "Internal Host Detection" to the hostname in the configuration?
