Auto-Upgrade - path of installer

L2 Linker

Hi All, we are planning to enable the auto-upgrade feature in our environment. One of the questions I was asked is what directory does the package get pushed to and installed from?

For example, does a package get pushed to C:\Windows\Temp and then install. I'm being asked by our internal Engineering team.

Any info would be helpful.

Thank you,

Joe

Hi @Joe_Carissimo,

I can also confirm that the communication between the tenant and the agent are via HTTPS.

Hi @Joe_Carissimo,

Thanks for reaching out on LIVEcommunity!

It looks like you're looking for where the Cortex XDR Agent is stored locally before it's installed via the auto-upgrade feature.

Locally the installation package will be stored here "C:\Program Data\Cyvera\LocalSystem\Download\".  The file is downloaded with the name Traps.pkg.

I hope you find this information helpful.

Have a great day!

Hi @anlynch, that is what I was looking for.

Can you tell me if that Traps.pkg is downloaded via https?

Thank you,
Joe

Hi @Joe_Carissimo

All comms between the tenant and the agent leverage TLS1.2.
