cortex broker log collector in HA Active Pasive

L1 Bithead

Good morning, dear friends,

I am facing the challenge of installing 2 broker VMs in HA (Active - Passive) as Log Collectors to receive logs from different data sources. My biggest concern and doubt is the configuration of the HA architecture of the 2 brokers since I read that a Load Balancer is required but I don't have much detail about it.

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi @gerardo.rodriguez, thanks for reaching us using the Live Community.

The Load Balancer should be provisioned by your Infra, the Broker VM doesn't have a proprietary load balancer solution, that gives the flexibility that each customer can use their own solution. You can check our doc about this topic: https://docs-cortex.paloaltonetworks.com/r/Cortex-XDR/Cortex-XDR-Documentation/Broker-VM-High-Availa...

If this post answers your question, please mark it as the solution.

I understand that we must provide the load balancer, however I was wondering if anyone has already had this scenario and with which load balancer they were able to solve it. If there is any guide it would be very helpful for those of us who are facing this challenge.

Thank you very much
