Cortex XDR agent with linux agent as server type

L2 Linker

Hi,

I have installed agent in several linux machines, but all are being categorized as Server Type and some are workstations.

Since I am using dymanic groups, what should I do to "fix" this? (Windows are OK regarding server type and workstations type)

Regards,

Fábio Ferreira

Hello @FabioFerreira ,

Thanks for reaching out on LiveCommunity!

Cortex XDR by design categorise linux machines as servers only as most of the linux os variants are used for server purpose. So when you list all endpoints using TYPE_SERVER field it is going to contain all servers and workstations as well. If you are trying to categorise machines then use other parameters like endpoint tags or try creating static groups.
