ACC is not loading post upgrading to 8.1.23

ACC is not displaying any data, it shows as "in progress". Recently Panorama and managed firewalls are upgraded to 8.1.23 post upgrade we ran into this issue. Tried restarting the management server but it didn't helped. Shall I try restarting the dataplane?

Looking for the experts advise. Any suggestion and helps are highly appreciated.

@Kathiravan_R,

What did you upgrade from? If you performed a major version upgrade and the logs are still being converted this wouldn't be a big shock.

Also as a side-note, are you on a M-100? If not, you really should migrate to a fully supported PAN-OS version. Even if you still have older hardware, Panorama itself will continue to manage any legacy firewalls without issue and doesn't need to be kept on an EoL release if you aren't running an M-100.

@BPry  Thank you for looking into this issue.

Before the upgrade both Panorama and managed firewall were on PAN OS 8.1.20-h1 version without ACC issue.

Yes we are using model: M-100. Are we good to go with the higher versions like 9.1.x or 10.1.x ?

Monitoring traffic logs are loading fine however ACC is not loading, it stuck on "in progress".

I have gone through the tech-support files, reportd.log, acc_cache logs but couldn't find the root cause of the issue.

Planning to restart the dataplane since ACC data are retrieved from the Appstat DB which is part of dataplane.

Please provide me the troubleshooting steps to address this issue.

Hi @Kathiravan_R

Actually PAN-OS 8.1 is the latest supported PAN-OS version on M-100 unless your appliance was upgraded to 32 GB memory (from the default 16 GB memory).  Then it will support software releases up to PAN-OS 9.1.

From Support:

I understand you are facing an issue with the ACC Tab not providing any data after upgrading from: 8.1.21 to 8.1.23.

This behavior is documented on the known issues release for 8.1.23:
https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/8-1/pan-os-release-notes/pan-os-8-1-release-information/kno...

# PAN-194455

Engineering is reviewing this for the EOS Platforms, but we do not have any tentative release date or guidance on a fix at this time.
