sorry, but

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/docs/DOC-1748

shows only an uncommented list, and

http://filext.com/alphalist.php?extstart=^A

or

http://www.cryer.co.uk/file-types/

shows only an unspecific list of possible file endings.

Which kind of file knows PA with "PE" ?

PEMicrosoft Symbol and Type Information
PEPortable Executable File
PEPatentEase File

from http://filext.com/alphalist.php?extstart=^P

Sorry but we don't have a 'commented' file list readily available.

Hi there,

PE is a portable executable file.

Cheers,

Kelly

There is some additional information available on page 149 (Table 71) of the PA-4.0 Administrator's Guide.

Does anybody knows the meaning of "torrent" and "lnk" ?

a .torrent file is a link file to a set of "trackers" and information about a specific torrent like file name, file size, pieces it was broken up in, ...

this file can then be loaded into a torrent client that uses this file to connect to the trackers and request information on that specific file (like which peers are "seeding" the file to the p2p network for download)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torrent_file

"A torrent file stores metadata used for BitTorrent. It is defined in the BitTorrent specification"

a .lnk file is a shorcut file as used on microsoft desktops to provide an iconised link to a URL or location/file on your harddrive or network
