Commit failing

L3 Networker

Running a VM-300 on PANOS-7.0.3

When attempt to make a commit (either through GUI or CLI), it hangs at 98%, and then fails.  The commit failure outputs the following:

Client sslvpn requesting last config in middle of commit/validate.
Aborting current commit/validate.

Not really sure where to start with this one, any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi, @mmclimans,

Try following ms.log or devsrv.log during commit.

It could provide you more details on what could be wrong.

I've seen your error message in combination with 'ID population failed' (= corrupt ID manager).  In that particular case a reset of the ID manager and a commit force fixed the issue.  That being said, at this time there's not enough information to confirm if you are hitting this behaviour or something else.

Feel free to check out this blog which is a good starting point for troubleshooting commit failures.

Cheers !

-Kim.
