Cortex XDR Cloud Identity Engine Integration

L3 Networker

We have planned the configuration of the Cortex XDR Cloud Identity Engine for our on-premises service. Could you please tell me whether the Cloud Identity Engine agent should be installed on the AD server or on a separate (NEW) server? What is the best method?

Hi @Vinothkumar_SBA ,

Personally, I wouldn’t install the Cloud Identity Engine agent on a DC but rather on a supported member server on the domain: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/cloud-identity/cloud-identity-engine-release-notes/cloud-identity-...

That being said, given the sensitive information the CIE is collecting and storing you would not want this agent running on just any member server.

Kind regards,

-Kim.
