We have purchased Threat Prevention subscription for our older PA-200. I asked for both Premium Support and Threat Prevention but we were sold only Threat Prevention because supposedly PA-200 is no longer sold by PAN. But I cant seem to be able to proceed with Threat Prevention license activation because I also need the firmware updated to 9.0 or above (see pic below). Currently its on 6.0.9. Probelm is that I cant even open a case with PAN support because there is no premium subscription available for these devices any more. Technically I dont need to bother support this outdated device, all I need is information where I can download that firmware update so I can make use of the Threat Prevention subscription that we just purchased.
Please tell me how do I get this older PA-200 up to the speed with Threat Prevention updates.
Thanks
Neal

Hi @Nils ,
PA-200 devices don't support PAN-OS 9.0.
The latest supported PAN-OS version for a PA-200 is PAN-OS 8.1 which can be downloaded from the customer support portal.
That said, you can't upgrade directly from 6.0 to 8.1.
You'll need to download some archived PAN-OS versions (6.1, 7.0, 7.1, 8.0).
Read this post for guidance on upgrading from 6.x to 8.x:
As for getting hold of all the required PAN-OS versions ... I'm afraid you'll have to reach out to support because those old PAN-OS versions are no longer available on the support portal.
Best,
-Kiwi.

Hello,
Ask your sales team for a 'lab' unit. They are usually really inexpensive.
