Panorama CLI commit process

L3 Networker

Hi ,

Could you please confirm the cmd equivalent to "commit and push "  in panorama .

I am trying to commit the changes using Panorama cli . I tried using commit partial device group <name>  but changes are only showing in Panorama not on the firewall .

Thanks

Hi @deepak12 ,

I guess you'll need to use the commit-all command:

CLI:

https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClqeCAC

or API:

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/9-1/pan-os-panorama-api/pan-os-xml-api-request-types/commit...

hope it helps,

-Kim.

Hi Kiwi ,

I am not seeing commit-all option . Not sure if this related to version .

I am using version 9 .

Thanks  ,

Hi @deepak12 ,

You sure you're trying that on the Panorama and not the firewall ?

I have a Panorama M-200 lab running on version 9.0.3 and it's there :

@kiwi Thank you. This answers what I was looking for.

The second question I could not find info for is, how can you see the difference between config to pushed and what is already on device, similar to what you get in GUI?
