QoS limiting download bandwidth for multiple subnets behind LAN interface.

L2 Linker

Hi,

I need to limit download bandwidth for multiple (more than 😎 subnets which are behind LAN interface. They need to have different limit values. I can't believe there is only 8 classes and I am limited to them.

So is this a hardware limitation? What is the purpose of it? And most important, is there anything to workaround it?

Thanks,

Rahman

Hi @RahmanDuran

It depends on your use case.

There's a limitation to 8 classes per profile.  But you can easily create multiple profiles with the same class using different limits as shown in the screenshot below :

Check the following link with some use case example :

Assigning different bandwidth for more than 8 subnets from any particular source (for download) cannot be done.

Hi,

I already read it. And it is useful only for uploads but what I need is to limit download. There are a few hundreds of subnets and thousands of users behind LAN interface. So I am limited to 8 classes. We migrated from Sophos UTM last month. Dissapointed with some limitations I encountered.

Thanks,

Rahman
