Service route and DHCP interface

L3 Networker

Hello,

We have PA-220 devices that are configured with DHCP interface for Internet access. We need to change the service route config for all update-related trafic (URL, dynamic contents, EDL, ...) since default mgmt interface has no Internet access.

However I cannot chose the corresponding interface from the drop-down list. Indeed, the only selectable interfaces are the ones with static IP configuration.

Is this a bug or do I missed something ?

We are running Pan-OS 8.1.19

Regards,

Only static ip addresses can be used for service routes.  if you need to use a dynamic ip interface for updates etc. you will need to configure a loopback interface and then point the required services to that loopback address,,,

some help here...

Hello,

Many thanks for your answer. I was never facing that issue before (I think I always had to deal with static IP addresses), and I didn't know this KB.
