My assumption is something to do with Russia, but I just can't seem to find any documentation on supporting that. Or it's something very obvious that I'm missing. 😀

PAN follows ISO 3166 2-digit country codes, so yes RU is the Russian federation. You can also type in the GUI under source or destination and it'll display the relevant 2-digit country code, so typing 'Russia' will bring up 'RU (Russian Federation)'

Thanks! I didn't phrase my question very well. The code is RE, but after looking at the ISO 3166 2-digit country codes as you mentioned, that code associated with Réunion which is an island in the Indian ocean that until today I did not know existed.
In Palo's documentation and logs it shows as RUnion.
