I'm not an expert in Palo Alto, but while using the Global Protect VPN, I noticed that if I disable the Global Protect services in Task Manager, the VPN disconnects, but my computer can no longer connect to the internet. Additionally, if I want to completely uninstall Globa lProtect VPN, an admin password is required. Am I understanding this correctly?
However, I have found a way to disable services Global Protect VPN while still maintaining an internet connection. Has anyone else discovered the same thing? Thanks, everyone!

Hi @tranminhhuy25031997 ,
I'd check with your IT guy.
GP can be configured in different ways and allow different things.
Depending on how it was set up it could allow you to disconnect it manually, disable it or even have split tunneling or not, which could prevent you from going out to the internet and only allow you to access your company resources.
Kind regards,
-Kim.

Hi Kiwi, I disabled the service GP VPN, and my computer was unable to connect to the internet. However, after performing a few additional steps (which can be considered trick), I was able to disable the GP VPN while still maintaining an internet connection.

Unless this is a personal device, I would heavily caution trying to actively disable the VPN agent and modifying any registry entries or routes to get things to function how you want them. In a corporate environment this isn't something that you should have access to do, but if you do it's likely to be monitored.
If you need the ability to disconnect from the VPN and maintain internet access, reach out to your IT department and request an exception. It's easy to target configuration specifically to individuals assuming that this is something that you should have access to that doesn't run the risk of getting identified and having potential employment consequences.
