I am attempting to install GlobalProtect on my MacBook Pro (M1 chip).
I am currently using macOS 15.4
After downloading the GlobalProtect client, launching the installer and clicking through the default steps, the installer stalls on the "Installation" phase.
The message "Preparing for installation..." remains in the status window indefinitely.
According to coworkers, I should see a popup to enter password for installation, but nothing appears.
As a side note, the installation window cannot be closed without "force quitting".

Thanks for the help, @kiwi , @BPry
The compatibility matrix was helpful in working with my portal admin to make the latest version of GlobalProtect available.
However, the installation issue was still present and has another root cause.
Our company use the BeyondTrust tool for software security, and our current version and config have a compatibility issue with macOS 15.4 (Sequoia).
With the help of IT, I was able to workaround the installation issue, by disabling the BT tool.
I now have GlobalProtect 6.3.3 installed and functioning well.

Hi @brock.shelton ,
Can you clarify which GP version you are trying to install ? The version of GlobalProtect you're using may not yet support macOS 15.4.
Check the compatibility matrix to make sure you're installing the supported version for your OS:
If no password prompt appears, it could be a UI issue where macOS is waiting for input, but the dialog is blocked or hidden.
Can you move the window around to check behind it or use alt-tab to switch between active windows to find it in case it's hidden?
Hope this helps,
-Kim.

Thanks Kim,
The compatibility matrix that you linked shows version 6.3.2+ as the compatible version for macOS 15.4
The version that is automatically downloaded from my company portal is 6.3.1_376
Perhaps a new version would solve the issue. I'll reach out to whoever administers the download portal for my company.
As far as the password pop-up, I don't ever see it when installing in a non-admin context.
I am able to gain admin privileges on my machine. With admin privileges enabled, the installer does trigger a password pop-up.
However, every time I enter my password the pop-up goes away for about 60 seconds and then re-appears.

Since this isn't really an issue with GlobalProtect, but rather the operating system actually starting the installation process normally, there's limited help that can actually be provided. As @kiwi mentioned it could be that the version of GlobalProtect you're attempting to run is simply too old to support macOS 15, but I would suspect that the installer would be progressing past this point.
You can find updated packages for the GlobalProtect agent for macOS online easily. THIS link will give you a current installer that supports macOS 15.4 without issue. Just note that your organization may mandate certain agents to actually access organization resources, so blindly installing a newer agent that potentially supports your OS doesn't guarantee that it will actually be supported within your environment.
