How to reboot a Palo Alto Networks device from a previous image from Maintenance Mode

L2 Linker

We are planning to upgrade our PA-440s and I would like to know the procedure to reboot a Palo Alto Networks device from a previous image from Maintenance Mode incase of any issues.

Thanks in advance

if you run into issues, it is better to run the follwoing command and then reboot:

debug swm revert

this switches the bootloader to the previous image, so that after the reboot you are back on the previous image

in maintenance mode your options will be limited to factory resetting to a previous OS which may be a bit dramatic
