SCM – Folder and Snippet structure

Hi,

I’m building a greenfield Strata Cloud Manager Folder/Snippet structure and attempting to find a logical but flexible layout .

Since Folders & Snippets can contain all elements of device configuration and policy, there doesn’t seem a one size fits all.

And indeed mixing the two seems to be presenting some dependencies issues.

There are the usual options, like:

• Folders by ‘geo-region’
  • good for region configuration e.g DNS server, bad for single 'Service' Security Policy
• Folders by Service
  • good for single 'Service' Security Policy, bad for region configuration e.g DNS server.

Then there’s the dependency issue between Folders & Snippets, for example:

I’d be very interested to hear from the community what Folder/Snippet structures have been used and how you have overcome these dependencies.
