Cortex not allowing specific Bluetooth devices to connect

L0 Member

We have been testing device blocking using Cortex. We have noticed that some Bluetooth devices (Apple Air Pods for instance) are not being allowed to connect/pair. I do not see a setting specifically for these types of devices, and I have been unsuccessful in my searches as well. Anyone else seen this issue?

Hi @AndrewBowden04

Please check and fine tune the Extension Profile you created to block some devices, you might be too broad so legit devices are blocked.

Please check the following docs:

Device Control:

https://docs-cortex.paloaltonetworks.com/r/Cortex-XDR/Cortex-XDR-3.x-Documentation/Device-control

Please realize you can even create custom devices that you can add to your Extension Profiles

You can add Temporary and Permanent exception in a quite granular way.

You have all the above options under the menu:

Policy Management ----> Extensions
