Hi PA Live Community...
I deployed in my Azure environment a PA Firewall VM-Series, I got the image from the Azure Store under the BYOL option. Once deployed in an AZ Virtual Machine with PANOS, I have configurated all the GP VPN Solution. GP Portal, GP Gateway have all settings fine but when I move into the GlobalProtect Client section to receive/download the updates GP agents, it is not downloading anything, even if I click in the 'check for updates' botton.
I have seen videos in the cloud where they said no registration or license was required to proceed to evaluate the GlobalProtect VPN stuff, but now I'm wondering if some license/register activation procedure could be required with Palo Alto maybe?
Any comment/advice will be very appreciated!
Thank you

Hi @guillermo.castro ,
If you go to the General Information widget on your Dashboard, do you see a serial # ? If the serial number is unknown or blank for the VM, you wont be able to download any updates.
If you dont see one, youll need to go through the process of registering and activating your license. Where did you purchase the license from? You should have received an invoice and auth code via email. Take a look at the VM-Series Deployment Guide.

Thank you Jay....
We haven't bought any license yet, since we were doing evaluation of this product on a test environment, we haven't defined which license is the one we will get, but you are absolutely right: The PA people reached out to me and said, what you just clarified here, they can provide me some demo licenses, while we define what will be the best for us to buy, and definitely I need a CSP account to create in the process.
Thanks again for taking the time to clarify my doubt in here.
Best regards,
Guillermo
