GlobalProtect Dialog Empty

L1 Bithead

This started after adding a second VPN to GlobalProtect, but not immediately, perhaps a day or 2 after. Using Windows 7 and GlobalProtect 4.1.8. When I click the GlobalProtect icon in the System Tray, It shows up in the TaskBar, but no window shows. If I hover over it, I see a small window with the GlobalProtect Icon and an "X" button, but nothing else. Clicking it in the task bar (right or left) causes it to close/disappear. I Googled this, and found only 1 reference, in a PaloAlto Netowkrs article about "Addresses Issues" in GlobalProtect 4.1.1 (https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/globalprotect/4-1/globalprotect-app-release-notes/gp-app-release-i... - GPC-6010). I did a lot of searching, and that's all I found. I'm attaching a screen shot. Does anyone know anything about this? It connects just fine, to the first VPN, but I can't change the connection to the second.Empty GlobalProtect DialogEmpty GlobalProtect Dialog

Hi @UncleChutney ,

I'd recommend reaching out to support to make sure you're not running into some regression bug.

That said, GP 4.1.8 dates from 12/11/2018 so and my first recommendation would be to upgrade to a more uptodate version.

Cheers !

Thanks Kiwi. I will see if I will be allowed to update GlobalProtect to a newer version. I'm not sure if the company will allow me, but I can always try!

I work for a very large international company, and could not get them to upgrade my instance. In addition, because I am not in IT, I can't get support from PaloAlto. So, I' waiting for someone from IT to fix the issue. It could be a long wait!
