Query on URL filtering

L4 Transporter

Hello,

We are using this Security Policy:

Source->Inside, User->any, Destination->any, Application->any, Service/URL category->any, Action->allow.

We are using Group Profile under Profile Setting with a URL Filtering Profile 'test-URL'.

In this URL Filtering profile, we have blocked the categories: gambling, weapons, etc. and allowed URLS below in the Override.

*.guns.com

*.lottoland.com

www.guns.com is working as expected, however, www.lottoland.com does not work.

We have followed this video:

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Tutorials/Video-Tutorial-Unblocking-a-URL/ta-p/68928

How to fix this issue?

@Farzana,

Try dropping the wildcard on lottoland.com and see if that functions properly. I've found that if you are not using SSL Decryption most SSL sites will behave better if you leave out the wildcard. If that doesn't work you'll need to provide some additional debugging information.

Hi @Farzana,

Any chance this could be decryption related seeing that lottoland.com is using https ?

Are you still seeing the category block page when trying to access lottoland ?

Some additional debugging would be useful.

Cheers,
