Unable to Block Personal Gmail on Ubuntu Machines.

L3 Networker

Hi Friends,

We have a customer who is facing issues in blocking Personal Gmail on Ubuntu Machines.

I have followed the below mentioned discussion and created the URL filtering and Policies.

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/general-topics/block-access-to-private-gmail-but-allow-corporat...

Personal Gmail is blocking as expected in Windows machines but when it comes to Ubuntu Machines it is not working as Expected. Even though the certificate is installed in the Ubuntu Machine the user is successfully able to login into Personal Gmail account in Ubuntu Machine.

Any Ideas on how to achieve this in Ubuntu Machines or is there any limitations with related to ubuntu machines.

Thanks and Regards

Satya Kalyan.

you can verify the header insertion logs from URL filtering logs. Verify that the header insertion is working fine for the mentioned traffic.

If there is no issue with insertion verify the decryption part, then verify the traffic is HTTP/2.0 or HTTP/1.0 because the HTTP Insertion will not work with HTTP/2.0 There is workaround for this, Please refer the below link,
