How to export disabled rules in Panorama

L0 Member

Hi All,

I'm new here and was wondering if I could get some help on this. I am looking to export some rules including disabled rules in Panorama but what happens is only the live rules get exported though I did include the disabled rules. Can I please get some help on this. Thank you all.

Hi @mnkpabi ,

What PAN-OS are you trying this on ?

Might be related to bug-ID issue PAN-138573 (Fixed an issue where the keyword [Disabled] was missing from the disabled policies exported in CSV/PDF format). Source: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/9-1/pan-os-release-notes/pan-os-9-1-addressed-issues/pan-os...

Might be related to bug-ID issue PAN-135356 (Fixed an issue where policies that contained objects did not display correctly when exported to CSV or PDF format). Source: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/9-1/pan-os-release-notes/pan-os-9-1-addressed-issues/pan-os...

If it's not that then what's your workflow exactly ?

Are you seeing this on all contexts/all device-groups ?

Any difference if you try this on the FW instead of Panorama ?

Seems to work fine on my testlab (running PAN-OS 11.1.3).

I tested both the Panorama context and a firewall context (in Panorama).

Exporting to PDF/CSV is showing the disabled rules in either case.

I tested both PDF and CSV.  Both are showing the disabled rules in the export.
