GlobalProtect blocks access to internet when connected

L0 Member

Hi there,

I have recently started a new job at a remote company. The company is using GlobalProtect VPN for anyone who wants to access their resources. So, I have installed the VPN following the documentation provided and connected successfully but now I can't access my internet through my browser. All pages are blocked showing me "This site can't be reached". I use Win11 and I also tried Win10. Also, I tried different networks with disabling windows defender firewall but nothing worked. On the other hand, some of my colleagues who have the same OS didn't encounter this problem.
Can someone assist me in this

Hi @OmarElewa ,

You might want to check with your IT guy and ask how GP is configured exactly.

Is your internet traffic also sent through the VPN tunnel or isn't it (=split tunnel) ?

If all traffic is sent through the tunnel have them check if the correct rules are in place to allow it or why you're being blocked.

If traffic is not sent through the tunnel then have them confirm if split tunnel is even allowed in that case.

Kind regards,

-Kim.

@OmarElewa ,

Most of the time this might be issue with NAT policy. Please verify you have the NAT policy for the Global Protect Subnet range.

You can verify it in traffic logs.
