Migrating policies and configurations shouldn't be a headache. That's why we're excited to introduce the Palo Alto Networks Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Migrator for Data Security. The migrator will help customers migrate their existing DLP policies from Symantec to Palo Alto Networks to protect sensitive data and reduce risk. Administrators can now upload their Symantec DLP policy XMLs for policy types Regular Expressions, Keyword, and Data Identifiers targeting Symantec CASB Securelets to get it seamlessly migrated into our Data Security solution. Launched on April 29, 2024, this migrator is designed with simplicity and effectiveness in mind to empower our customers to transition to Palo Alto Networks Data Security solution with ease.

Why It Matters

Transitioning between data security solutions can be complex, but our DLP Migrator simplifies the process, ensuring a smooth experience for our customers.

Key Benefits:

  1. Simplicity: A straightforward 3-step migrator - Upload, Migrate, Enforce Policies for Detection.
  2. Efficiency: Bulk upload and review of Symantec Policies and Rules for Migration.
  3. Insight: PDF and CSV reports at every stage, providing complete information on migrated policies.
  4. Customization: Easily manage policy rules, exceptions, and response actions during migration.

Who It Is For

Designed for customers interested in Palo Alto Networks' Data Security solution who currently use Symantec CASB Securelets with DLP Enforce.

How It Works

Our Enterprise Data Loss Prevention Migrator allows you to seamlessly convert Symantec DLP policies into SaaS Security Data Asset policies. Simply upload your Symantec DLP policy XMLs, and our migrator takes care of the rest. It evaluates compatibility, creates data patterns, and migrates policies, streamlining the process for you.

Before You Begin:

Ensure you have admin access on both Symantec and Palo Alto Networks systems to facilitate the migration process.

The Process:

  1. Upload: Enter a descriptive Migration Name and upload your Symantec DLP policy XMLs to the Enterprise DLP Migrator.Fig 1_Enterprise-DLP-Migrator_palo-alto-networks.png
