setting up an email alert for license renewal in VM-100

How do i set up an email alert for expiring licenses in VM-100. i followed the steps to create an email profile and assigning it under log settings, under system but when i do the test, it always fails with timeout has reached error message. any help would be appreciated

Which code are you currently running? On the email server profile, what happens when you click "test connection".

I get the below error message:

Connection to: X.X.X.X:25 failed: Timeout was reached

Hi @sercotcs1 ,

 

Are you using the mgmt interface or have you configured a service route ?

Is your mgmt interface able to reach your smtp server ? Because the mgmt interface is often oob it might not have a route to your mailserver or vice versa.  If you're using a service route, do you have a policy in place actually allowing this ?
