As the world’s leading cybersecurity company, Palo Alto Networks gives customers the power to protect billions of people worldwide. We believe that having skilled cybersecurity professionals is a critical part of protecting our digital way of life and ensuring each day is safer and more secure than the one before.
To that, the Palo Alto Networks Education Services team is excited to announce the addition of two new certifications to our role-based certification portfolio for professionals to validate their skills in the roles of Cloud Security and Security Operations Center Automation.
Prisma Certified Cloud
Security Engineer
As we move to a cloud-centric future this will be an essential certification for the industry.
As more and more of our customers move their workloads to the cloud, securing those workloads and staying in compliance with the use of data in the cloud becomes paramount to their success. In order to complete their journey to the cloud, our customers will be looking for professionals with skills both in cloud technology and cybersecurity. Our PCCSE certification is a resume-worthy credential that validates that candidates possess those skills, making them incredibly marketable in the industry.
This certification validates the knowledge, skills and abilities required to onboard, deploy and administer all aspects of Prisma™ Cloud technology. Prisma Cloud is the industry’s broadest security and compliance coverage—for applications, data, and the entire cloud native technology stack—throughout the development lifecycle and across multi and hybrid cloud environments.
According to CyberSeek, positions requiring public cloud security skills remain open around 79 days—longer than those for any other IT skills. The PCCSE cloud certification is a step forward in demonstrating you have the right skills for a cloud-security future.
Palo Alto Networks Certified
Security Automation Engineer
This certification is the first of its kind and represents a huge milestone in validating the knowledge and skills of autonomous security operations professionals.
As adversaries are becoming more sophisticated in launching automated attacks, protection against those attacks needs be upleveled with the use of automation technology. Building skills in AI and ML security tools becomes a must in next-generation security operations and automation. Implementation of security automation and orchestration are now essential to combat security threats. Gartner predicts that by 2021, 70% of enterprise organizations with a dedicated security operations center (SOC) will have security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) capabilities.
Palo Alto Networks delivers the most comprehensive product portfolio for security operations, empowering enterprises with the best-in-class detection, investigation, automation and response capabilities on your journey to an autonomous SOC. Cortex™ XSOAR is the industry’s only extended security orchestration, automation and response platform with native threat intelligence management.
The PCSAE certification ensures security operations professionals have proven skills to implement Palo Alto Networks' next generation security offering, Cortex XSOAR, to effectively and efficiently manage security operations of the future and reduce overall security risks. This certification validates that security engineers can develop, analyze and administer security in an automated manner via Cortex™ XSOAR technology.
