Hello Everyone, I am setting up a new PA460 and have a decent amount of users I set up. I have all the users set up and gave them new passwords.
I was wondering, (on my current device) if I take the Password Hash from the user section in the Firewall's config using Notepad++, couldn't I simply copy the hash and paste that in as a hash for the same user on the new device, thereby not having to give the user a "New" password?
Just curious. I know I should absolutely give them all new credentials, but I was just curious if that's how it works, or if that changes their login to use a hash or something.
Thank you ahead of time for any responses. Have a great day!

Hi @EricWitham ,
I tried copying the hash from the user's password, but it did not work for me. I know this is the same behavior when trying to copy the hash from a local-user admin account. If the has fits the password guidelines, then it would change their login to use the hash that was pasted in.
