Hi,
I´ve been playing around with the new PANOS 8.0 Authentication policies for a while but not getting it to work very well. If I add only service-http it works good for all port 80 applications but that doesn´t add much security since most web-apps run on 443. When I add https to the authentication policy many web pages fail to load, not redirecting me to the captive portal. And since, here, most internal SSL html apps don´t have a trusted cert configured for them - am I the only one NOT creating trusted certs for everything in the local network?? - I belive the redirecting might be due to cert issues. And then we have the apps running on non default ports when they share the same iis server. Those are not being processed by the authentication policy at all. I´ve tried to add service - any to the policy but then my outlook wouldn´t connect, so that breaks stuff.
So what are your experinces with authentication policies? Have anyone found a good way of deploying them in a production network, what am I missing?
Thanks for any input!
