Internal Root certificate replacement

L1 Bithead

Does anybody have any experience of changing out the internal root CA cert? Our server guys have updated our internal cert authority to support SHA-256 certs which has had a knock on affect of causing issues with our GlobalProtect gateway certs on our firewalls.

If I were to delete and add in the root CA cert with the same name will I then also need to generate new certs for the GP gateways which were chained to the original root cert?

Any other implications to be aware of?
