September was a busy month! Not only did we welcome a new autumnal season, but LIVEcommunity launched new technology pages, Palo Alto Networks released its first-ever device for the home and small business—Okyo Garde—and registration for the Ignite '21 cybersecurity conference opened up. Catch up on all these happenings, plus much, much more in this month's Rewind.
Palo Alto Networks has announced Okyo Garde, its first-ever product for the home and small businesses! Okyo Garde delivers the same level of cybersecurity provided to enterprise through easy integration using a premium mesh-enabled Wi-Fi 6 system.
With Okyo Garde, home and small businesses will be protected from any and all cybersecurity threats—malware, ransomware, phishing attacks and more—through Palo Alto Networks elevated technology. Read more in our LIVEcommunity blog, “Introducing Okyo Garde™ : Enterprise-Grade Cybersecurity With Consumer Simplicity.”
Beacon—Palo Alto Networks’ resource for trainings, certifications, and digital learnings—and LIVEcommunity recently partnered to better help customers easily maneuver between PAN learning resources. In addition to dedicated areas cross-linking the resources, there has been call-to-action messaging added to Cortex webinars (with Prisma improvements coming around the bend). The result is a unified experience across Beacon and LIVEcommunity.
We are constantly creating new and updating legacy content related to all Palo Alto Networks' products and, in turn, keeping our technology pages fresh, useful, and as helpful as possible! With Palo Alto Networks’ new Cortex Xpanse product, we also have a new technology resource page to match.
On this page, you can expect to find all Xpanse-related content: discussions, blogs, articles, videos, webinars, and release notes. The page will only become more robust with resources as time goes on—and as community members like you engage and contribute.
Take a tour of Cortex Xpanse and let us know what you think!
We noticed conversations happening about Panorama across our forums and determined creating a dedicated Panorama technology resource page only made sense.
This NEW Panorama technology resource page can be found under “Network Security” and you can expect to find discussions, blogs, articles, and videos all related to this technology! Check out LIVEcommunity’s dedicated Panorama technology resource page for yourself.
A few months ago we announced the new Prisma SD-WAN CloudBlades page on LIVEcommunity. To wrap it all together, we worked on a 3 part blog series.
When it comes to SD-WAN, legacy solutions are falling behind. These blogs can help you understand how Palo Alto Networks' next-generation Prisma SD-WAN CloudBlades platform can help your organization embrace the cloud.
Focusing on AWS Transit Gateway Protect and Google Cloud, you’ll get a better understanding on how these integrations can simplify operations by saving time and reducing costs.

One of LIVEcommunity’s most frequently asked questions is “What version of PAN-OS do you recommend?"
Luckily, Palo Alto Networks' support engineers have a Support PAN-OS Software Release Guidance—located in LIVEcommunity's Customer Resources area—that is routinely updated by Palo Alto Networks' support engineers.
The article covers supported versions for PAN-OS for Firewall, Panorama on VM / M-series, GlobalProtect, and User-ID / Terminal Server Agent. It also includes links to the latest Security Advisories, as well as recommended versions for Updated Prisma Access Software Release Guidance.
